Anonymous asked: stop telling people to read a book when the don't agree with you. Racism goes both ways, and I think you are extremely guilty of it considering the occurring, "white people..." Not that I don't agree with the idea that in the united states white, religious men are unjustly dominant. btw Richard Dawkins also has closer relatives that fought for and helped stopped slavery.
“…considering the occurring, ‘white people..’…”
what? oh, so because i actually use the term “white people”, i’m racist? OK. not only do you need some books, you also need some seminars and maybe a course or two. too bad Jane Elliot stopped teaching her course. i would suggest anything in the ‘race relations’ section of your local library, but some of them may be too advanced for you. start with anything by Tim Wise. ‘Race Manners’ and ‘Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria’ are also a really good introductory books.
and i don’t care how many relatives of his tried to stop slavery. the link listed a number of his family members that were vehemently opposed to any laws concerning abolition. what matters most is how he responded to this information.
and, again, can you science-worshiping atheists get off his dick already? you all treat him like he’s the fuckin messiah.
